Position Summary

Based in St. Louis, Missouri, the Sr. Manager of Supply Chain leads end-to-end Supply Chain processes and tools. This role is responsible for orchestrating the development and implementation of strategies that will improve forecasting and reduce working capital while delivering customer service. The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain drives results through strong collaboration with cross-functional leadership within the customer supply chain, operations, procurement, logistics, and commercial sales.

The chosen candidate will ensure planning processes and tools enable the delivery of business results. The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain is accountable for driving continuous improvement and keeping current on industry trends and technology advances.


  • Advocate for supply chain excellence by focusing to improve forecasting, reduce working capital and improve customer service

  • Has significant influence/collaboration within Supply Chain to plan, develop and execute forecasting, supply planning and S&OP strategies in alignment with the commercial strategies

  • Influence business decisions through the on-going leadership of the Planning process

  • Accountable for Supply Chain talent strategy

  • Assures global leveraging of industry best practices and incorporation of industry trends and technology advances, including machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI)

  • Builds and sustains excellent relationships at multiple levels within the company and externally with relevant stakeholders. S/he needs to be able to represent the Supply Chain function with internal and external stakeholders.

S/he will serve as the interface between the business community and the manufacturing group and needs to be able to negotiate tradeoffs between business and operations constraints, identify acceptable compromise, and lead flawless execution.

  • Risk-taker, willing to tackle difficult issues, and is decisive. Ability to develop global relationships based on trust and common objectives

Specific Accountabilities

  • Leads a team of Supply Chain colleagues

  • Leads end-to-end Supply Chain in assigned markets (s) and processes and tools for Supply Chain

  • Executes the Supply Chain functional plan, addressing process, technology and organization structure

  • Monitors planning and inventory management processes, initiatives, and results

  • KPI Accountability: forecast accuracy, working capital (Days In Inventory – DII), and customer service

  • May also perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with planning expertise in organizations known for world-class planning and supply chain capabilities. S/he will have at least 10 years of experience in planning, with a strong working knowledge of tools/processes. S/he will have a strong experience working with commercial business teams and customers to improve forecasting and service levels while decreasing working capital. This leader must be a proactive, action-oriented business leader with the ability to solve complex problems and drive change within well-established organizations. S/he must be a dynamic leader with a strong executive presence and business credibility. Most importantly, this individual must balance the strategic and hands-on requirements of this position with a flexible working style and a proven ability to influence key internal and external stakeholders.

  • 10+ years of demonstrated progressive leadership experience

  • 5-10+ years of planning experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree highly preferred

  • Deep understanding of both demand and supply planning and its impact on company results

  • Strong business and financial acumen

  • Possesses an analytical understanding of the value and impact of information (managing and reporting data effectively)

  • Experience with integrating acquisitions

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills

  • Proven experience leading and developing high performing teams

  • English fluency required. Other languages helpful (e.g. Spanish/Portuguese)

  • CPG background preferred

  • Exposure and understanding of global supply chain dynamics and considerations

  • Influential leadership of the global organization and senior management

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Travel Required 10%-20% (Post Covid)

  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate virtual meetings with other regions within all time zones
