Position Summary

Based in Sydney, Australia, and reporting to the Senior Manager, APAC Logistics, the Associate Manager, ANZ Logistics oversees warehousing, transportation, and import/export operations for Australia and New Zealand in conjunction with external 3PL(s).

The Associate Manager, ANZ Logistics drives world-class logistics performance through the use of continuous improvement, establishing and tracking critical KPI’s, managing 3PL performance, and ensuring customer service expectations are met. The Associate Manager, ANZ Logistics will facilitate accountability with our 3PL partners and ensure business requirements are met.

Accountabilities

  • Advocate for supply chain excellence by encouraging to improve logistics cost, performance, and customer service levels

  • Has significant collaboration within Integrated Supply Chain to plan, develop and implement warehousing and transportation strategies in alignment with commercial strategies

  • Partners with external logistics providers to cultivate continuous improvements in logistics operations

Specific Accountabilities

  • Oversees ANZ logistics operations through external 3PL’s General Managers, Operations Managers and Office Personnel to assure operations and service level expectations are met or exceeded

  • Manages 3PL performance to meet or exceed agreed SLA’s and KPI’s in warehousing, transportation, and import/export

  • Responsible for developing and meeting annual budget for ANZ logistics; tracking spends, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions as needed to deliver the budget

  • Guides 3PL performance management through the preparation, coordination, and follow up of QBRs, monthly performance reviews, weekly (and daily as desired) operational reviews

  • Coordinates the activities of the customs broker(s) relating to import and export shipments in compliance with Energizer Trade Compliance standards and delivered within expected SLA’s

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining the Warehouse Procedures Manual and Logistics SAP Procedures Manual

  • Establishes and motivates culture of continuous improvement within ANZ logistics, utilizing lean tools and techniques to eliminate waste

  • Responsible for ANZ logistics to be compliant with all SOX, C-TPAT, HazMat storage, transportation, and disposal requirements, Import/Export regulations and FDA regulated and controlled product requirements

  • Responsible for assigned warehouse audits, physical inventories/cycle counts, control reviews, etc., including associated performance and follow-up activities

  • Develop project roadmaps and actively manages projects including cost reduction, service improvement, facility expansions / relocations / closures, and value-added services (relabelling, repackaging, late-point definition, etc.)

  • Guides logistics service RFP’s and contract renewals for ANZ warehousing, transportation and/or import/export freight forwarding services

  • Regularly visits Australia & New Zealand 3PL sites to perform meetings, conduct performance reviews, audit inventory and shipment accuracy, and ensure corrective actions are implemented as desired.

KPI Accountability: % logistics costs to net customer sales, on time receiving, on time shipping, on time delivery, delivered in-full and on time, order accuracy, fill rate, inventory accuracy measurements and logistics costs

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years logistics, procurement, supply or demand planning, operations management, customer service management, or related experience

  • Administration/Organization Management or supervisory experience; preferably in a warehouse environment

  • Familiar with ANZ logistics demographics including warehousing, transportation, and sourcing

  • Understanding of supply chain management including the effects of distribution activities across the broader spectrum of our business and its performance.

  • Knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems, order management systems (SAP or similar)

  • Demonstrated expertise in programs such as Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement practices and the ability to bring those to bear in the logistics environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills – both written and verbal

  • Result-focused, demonstrated collaborative and problem-solving capabilities; an influential leader able to influence across all levels of the organization
