Position Summary

The Key Account Manager is a key position as part of our Tier 1 Account Team. The Key Account manager will be responsible for a specific category within the account team to manage. Coaching will be available from the National Account Manager and Channel Director, however this will be an opportunity for the right candidate to show their creativity and initiative.


  • Achieves sales targets within designated classes of trade.

  • Achieves profit to gross margin by customer and class of trade.

  • Develops and implements customer specific business plans.

  • Implements Marketing Programs into customer specific plans.

  • Develops and implements key account development programs.

  • Prepares regular business analysis and reviews with each account.

  • Develops and maintains a professional partnership with customers and is recognised by customers as providing outstanding customer service

  • Ensures that the Company’s products are appropriately planogram

  • Ensures customer records are maintained

  • Assists in the development of sales forecasts.

  • Controls the promotional spend.

  • Responsible for claims management within relevant classes of trade

What we are looking for

Critical Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Business Account Executive experience in Consumer Goods min 12 mths (ideally Woolworths, Coles or Metcash)

  • Experience with IRI or AC Nielsen

  • Excellent command of English both spoken & written communication

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite including (Excel, Powerpoint, and Word)

  • Strong analytical skills; can interpret data and present to stakeholders

Educational background required/desired:

  • Degree in Business or Commerce desired
