Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Partner, Australia and New Zealand is responsible for providing human resources support to Energizer’s Australia and New Zealand operations (about 90 colleagues). This includes acting as the Human Resources Business Partner to the functional groups represented in these markets, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service/Demand Planning, and IT. This position will typically interface with director-level and below colleagues regarding talent management, talent acquisition, performance management, development, compensation, organizational effectiveness, change management, employee relations issues, contribution to international project and related HR Admin support. The incumbent will provide support to the Director, Human Resources Modern Markets (based in Europe) in communicating, delivering, and influencing human resources strategies and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Stand-alone role supporting implementation of HR strategies and initiatives to develop structure, processes, systems, solutions and metrics to enable ANZ teams to execute and achieve business targets.
Effectively work with line management in planning for and meeting business goals and objectives. Demonstrate ability to understand how the business operates at a fundamental level and partner with business team members to implement these solutions.
Partner with the business and HR team in Inclusion and Diversity initiatives, recruitment, people development, and retention issues. Assist in building organizational capability and bench strength, ensuring the right people are in the right jobs.
Lead or participate in talent reviews, succession planning reviews, calibration reviews and performance management where appropriate.
Promote Energizer’s culture, and competency model. Drive annual performance management process and educate colleagues on career development tools.
Serve as a change agent and consultant to the business in support of the Company’s vision, mission, values, culture, strategy, and initiatives. Lead local execution of business and corporate HR initiatives through effective change management. Support ongoing Engagement initiatives, through communication, education and advocacy. Partner with leaders to understand colleague feedback in engagement surveys, and to implement local and functionally aligned action plans
Provide coaching and advice to people managers on people-related issues using our Power BI system and other tools available
Manage local employee relations issues, partnering with Legal as appropriate
Drive awareness and adherence to Energizer’s compensation/rewards principles among people leaders
Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Company’s risk by having a basic understanding of relevant employment laws and follow agreed processes. In charge of performing employment contracts, amendments, termination letters and settlements. May track/monitor necessary data and information.
Drive utilization of the HR Operating Model, including manager and colleague self-service
Coordinate and monitor people manager application and effective use of HR tools, policies, and processes
Execute organizational effectiveness initiatives, such as implementing/monitoring organizational design principles and continuous improvement activities
Promote the role of Human Resources and enhance the credibility of the function; work collaboratively with Human Resources team members to proactively share best practices and processes.
Provide location-specific insights to help the Center of Excellence team align overall strategies with ANZ specific requirements.
Provide monthly payroll support and termination process.
A member of the ANZ Local Leadership team
Contribute to HR projects related to Modern Markets, International and / or Global initiatives
May perform other duties as assigned
What we are looking for
University Degree (4 years) In Human Resources, Business or another related field
3-5 years of functional Human Resources and business partnership experience. Previous experience coaching line managers
Knowledge of ANZ (with focus on Australia) labor/employment laws as they pertain to HR practices
Knowledge of ANZ payroll practices
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Ability to influence for a desired outcome/result. Working comfortably across all levels and functions of an organization, including a matrix / functionally designed organization
Ability to respectfully challenge and say NO
Effective at balancing being a strategic partner, change agent, administrative expert, & employee champion
Strong business acumen
Ability to work independently
Preferred Skills and Experience
Advanced Degree (Masters or equivalent)
Human Resource Certification
Prior experience with SAP Success Factors
Consumer Packaged Goods experience
Compensation experience
Prior experience with power BI tools
