Energizer National Sales Manager – Japan in Tokyo, Japan

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Sales, APAC, this position plays a pivotal role in expanding Energizer’s Hearing Aid Battery Business in Japan as focus growth region, to grow revenue, achieve gross margins and net sales targets. Besides that, this position will support domestic marketing plan execution and local sales operations.

Accountabilities

  • Fully analyse the market in Japan and make recommendations on strategies to maximise opportunities for profitable and sustainable business

  • Supporting the existing customer base, maximizing sales in line with our overall global strategy within agreed budgets and financial targets

  • Seek new opportunities for business development for professional HAB sales with OEMs, independent audiologists, Pro HAID Retailers, Industry distributors and Government contracts

  • Focus on growth and increase share of branded products

  • Build solid commercial relationships with existing client base to increase our share of the business and provide technical support to the key partners and players

  • Provide close support to new customers and develop plans to grow their business

  • Seek potential new sales channels e.g. Retailer, Pharmacy

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering.

  • More than 5 years of experience in sales-related roles in batteries, professional products or consumer packaged goods industry. A working knowledge and understanding of the battery and/or audiology markets would be desirable

  • Possess the ability to understand and effectively sell key elements of battery technology

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and customer relationship skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels

  • Self-motivated, confident, flexible and energetic with strong analytical skills, possess the discipline, organizational ability and personal drive to work independently and equally comfortable within a team

  • Strong ability in conversing English language, oral and written due to frequent work interactions with Energizer global counterparts

Working Relationships & Environment

Reporting to the Director of Sales, APAC, this role will build solid commercial relationships with existing client base and seek potential new channels in Japan market. Internally, this role will have close working relationship with Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Quality team, based in European headquarters.
