Position Summary
As a Quality Technician in secondary packaging at Energizer Global Auto Care division, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of inspection and documentation procedures during the manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials and components using defined acceptance criteria
Maintain quality control charts, records of analysis results, certificates of analysis, and other quality data to be able to generate compliance and trend reports
Notify management of any quality issues, coordinate line shutdown if necessary, and quarantine potentially defective product for further inspection
Help with investigation into causes of failures and develop and document preventative measures
Review paperwork and data analysis
Record, process, and compile data accurately to identify outliers, find trends, summarize results, and recommend next steps
Maintain a high level of visual awareness and set standards for improved quality metrics
Work alone with minimal or no supervision
Identify possible areas of improvement in quality processes or documentation
Develop and audit 5S standards for packaging lines
Train others to use established methods and standard procedures
Responsible for RCCA and feedback to customer complaints
What we are looking for
High School Diploma or GED
Proficient with Excel and Word
Minimum 1 year experience in a quality assurance position
Strong oral and written communication skills with supervisors and coworkers
Effective organization and time management skills
Ability to multi-tasks and work with cross functional teams
Ability to coach others to improve quality standards
Monday-Friday 6am 2:30pm, with flexibility to work overtime/weekends when needed
What we prefer
2+ years packaging operations experience
Proficient with SAP
Prior knowledge of the automotive aftermarket industry
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office
