The Key Account Manager (KAM), APAC position is responsible for delivering profitable growth and maintaining margin for Energizer’s current and potential Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) and Hearing Aid Battery (HAB) customers in select markets within the APAC region. The Key Account Manager is focused on both acquiring new business and managing existing customers.
The KAM works cross-functionally with internal teams to achieve stated business objectives. They also work with other Commercial colleagues across the Global OEM & HAB Pro organization, providing specific local support to Global accounts within the KAM’s geography, ensuring these global accounts are serviced with excellence and in line with their contracts.
A major responsibility is aggressively prospecting for new business in order to build a strong pipeline for sustained growth. The Key Account Manager must have a high sense of urgency and a relentless focus on winning in both the short-term and the long-term
Achieve quarterly and annual net sales and gross margin goals for assigned region
Demonstrate a strong understanding of market conditions and sales opportunities
Own, manage and deliver assigned performance goals
Execute annual business plans that efficiently achieves customer & Energizer goals/objectives
Communicate regularly with all team members, both internal (Energizer) and external (customer)
Develop and implement sales strategies and activities to achieve sales goals for select markets within the APAC region in order to improve market penetration.
Customer development- maintain and grow existing business and develop new business that will lead to growth.
Identify opportunities to improve market penetration with a focus on prospecting/winning new accounts through direct sales activities.
Continually leverage analytics/insights and focus on key metrics to make better decisions (speed & accuracy)
Monitor competition in each market and develop strategies to minimize riskMaintain strong relationship with key decision makers from existing distributors and customers
Support global account growth across the APAC region, partnering within the Global Account team
Develop an accurate sales forecast and ensure that account managers maintain effective communication with Customer Service, Supply/Demand Planning and Brand teams to deliver agreed sales and operation planning targets
What we are looking for
University degree or equivalent in commercial related subject
Min 5 – 7 years of sales experience; expertise in consumer package good environment in the APAC region preferred
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business/account plans
Used to working in a multi-national, complex and matrix environment
Experience of cross-functional team participation
Fluent in English
Fluent in Chinese
Negotiation skills with key accounts and distributors
Commercial delivery through superior direct selling experience - Preference will be given to candidate with technical knowledge of batteries/ technical selling
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
MBA would be an asset
Regional account management experience would be an asset
