Position Summary

Execute the International promotional strategy and supporting and coordinating the area wide process including design, development, monitoring and reporting of area wide promotions for all market groups.      

Universal Accountabilities

  • Execute the promotional strategy for the Hubs / Markets and maintain an evergreen MCP for promotions.

  • Support the INTL Promotions Manager in the execution of the International Promotions process, whilst making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Consult markets / Hubs in the promotional development process to ensure the relevance to market needs resulting in participation and promotional effectiveness.

  • Coordinate the execution of our promotional MCP.

  • Provide activation guidelines and tool kits to simplify in store execution.

  • Monitor and track promotional execution to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate Creative Review submissions to ensure mechanics are legally compliant & receive the appropriate sign off through the Process.


Specific Accountabilities

  • Work with Brand Activation Managers to Identify common promotional themes which unite markets.

  • Track and report how promotional $ are being spent across markets & area.

  • Execute the promotions development process under the direction of the INTL Promotions manager ensuring relevance and effectiveness.

  • Work with local colleagues & creative / promotional agencies to execute promotional themes as agreed with the promo council.

  • Execute promotions & programs which are consistent with Global brand guidelines and builds upon our Brand values and positioning. 

  • Maintain an “evergreen” promotional calendar (MCP) which fulfils the trade / market / Hub promotional needs for all product segments and gain IMLT (International Marketing Leadership Team) approval.

  • To support & coordinate the development and implementation of approved promotions through cross functional teams.

  • To implement promotional tracking and reporting tools to monitor the effectiveness of our promotions.

  • To publish quarterly promotional tracking reports and post promotional analysis to markets / hubs / management.

  • To monitor and report on market exceptions to the Area promotional plan, thereby driving adherence.

  • Work with Manager / Executive Visibility to provide centrally developed and approved (CRP) tools to activate best in class retail promotional presence and display solutions.

  • Monitor and track competitor promotional activity.

  • Support the development of sales ready and legally approved presentations to support the trade sell in of promotional programs.

  • Support market Brand Managers / Brand Activation Managers in onward briefing of promotional programs.

  • To track & report Area promotional budgets and ensure phasing in line with ABP plans.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent required with an emphasis on Business, Marketing or similar

  • Experience in brand and shopper marketing and category management in a multi-national corporation

  • An understanding of the International retail and customer environment

  • Agency and supplier management experience

  • Fluent English with cross-market/multi-cultural exposure

  • Demonstrated competencies in collaboration, team working and project management.
