Position Summary

Based in Warsaw, Poland, the Senior Global Logistics Manager leads the EMEA Logistics organization and is responsible for orchestrating the development and implementation of strategies that will improve cost structures while delivering customer service. They will drive business results through strong collaboration with the Global Logistics team, third party logistics providers, and managed services. 

 

Accountabilities

  • Advocate for supply chain excellence by focusing to improve distribution and transportation cost, performance, and customer service levels

  • Has significant influence/collaboration within Global Logistics and the EMEA Commercial organization to plan, develop and execute logistics regional strategies in alignment with global logistics and commercial strategies

  • Accountable for coaching and developing talent within the EMEA Logistics team

  • Assures leveraging of industry best practices

     

Specific Accountabilities

  • Leads a team of 2-5 colleagues, including 1-3 direct reports, with accountability for logistics spend of approximately $20MM

  • Leads EMEA Logistics, which includes warehouses, ocean freight, and trucking within up to 7 markets

  • Develops and executes the EMEA Logistics functional plan in alignment with the Global Logistics plan, addressing process, technology and organization structure

  • Builds and maintains partnerships with third party logistics providers to deliver long-term growth and continuous improvements while delivering service

  • Drives continuous improvement through reduction of total inbound, intercompany and outbound freight spend via improved carrier selection and contracting and improved data/transparency

  • Monitors regional logistics spend processes, initiatives, and results

  • KPI Accountability: logistics spend, supply chain deductions, and customer service levels

  • Member of Global Logistics team and EMEA Supply Chain team

  • May be accountable to lead some select global initiatives.

     

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive Supply Chain experience with a minimum of 5 years of logistics experience

  • Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems, Warehouse Management Systems, and Order Management Systems

  • Proven leader capable of long and short term strategic planning, driving positive change across an organization

  • International savvy, able to understand and be sensitive to cross cultural relationships

  • Exposure to and expertise in programs such as Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement practices and the ability to bring those to bear in the logistics environment

  • Strong interpersonal and business communication skills – both written and verbal

  • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills

  • MS Office products knowledge

  • Experience in international logistics including global transportation, sourcing, and distribution is preferred

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Travel Required: 25% - 30% (Domestic & International)
