Position Summary
To proactively improve manufacturing equipment at the site
Responsibilities
Assisting with the development and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
Commission new equipment to achieve the required safety and productivity rates.
Make an effective contribution to improve product quality and operational performance.
Assist skilled workers with hands on duties when required.
Supervise other employees on the site.
Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
What we are looking for
Mechanically or Electrical bias also Multi skilled.
An apprentice time served or graduate engineer.
A qualified engineer to at least HNC level.
Candidates should have experience in a similar role including a good knowledge of Electro - Pneumatic machinery which is PLC controlled.
Experience in high volume manufacturing but not in heavy industry.
A good appreciation of tight tolerances (0.1mm).
Candidates will need to demonstrate good teamwork and problem solving skills as there is a need to work closely with others to successfully complete individual and plant objectives throughout the year.
