Position Summary

To provide technical support within all areas of responsibility; striving for best practice in all aspects of the manufacturing process. A key driver regarding quality and efficiency issues, formulating and delivering quality improvement plans, and driving change such that quality, cost and technology improvement targets are achieved within agreed limits and time-scales.


  • Monitoring production process and performing regular tests to identify potential problems.

  • Identifying the root causes of issues and recommending Corrective / Preventive Actions.

  • Coordinating with external Quality Assurance Auditors and Technicians to ensure legal / regulatory compliance

  • Working with internal teams to improve the quality of products for enhancing customer satisfaction.

  • Implement and drive the use of systematic techniques to improve process capability - SPC, FMEA, KT, MSA, Process Models, capability studies, etc.

  • Improve and maintain excellent communication of issues and change.

  • Feedback issues to peers and other team members and develop robust corrective actions.

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable HSE requirements when introducing process change.

  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Responsibility for the management, planning and implementation of process and product development projects.

  • Participate in process and material cost reduction programs.

  • Embody professionalism and apply high standards in all aspects of work.

  • Take responsibility for personal development.

  • Maintain constructive rapport with all departments.

  • Any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required.

What we are looking for

  • HNC/HND/Degree level, preferably with a quality, statistical, engineering background, or proven track record over 2 years within a structured Quality function / organisation

  • Progression from shopfloor/technician level through to this role is possible provided that exemplary conduct, technical skill and an awareness of people management is demonstrated. Willingness to undertake formal academic study may also be required.

  • Computer literate using Microsoft Office applications, Minitab, Infinity SPC applications.

  • Clear, precise and articulate communication skills - both written and oral across all levels of the Business.

  • Committed to the Business needs, dependable and adaptable.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and additional work.

  • Ability to manage time effectively.

  • Ability to work independently and in teams with infrequent supervision and reviewing

  • Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analyses and devise suitable preventive action plans
