Position Summary

As Plant Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for all finances related to the plant / factory and will work very closely with the plant management team. The role will manage a small team and will be the main finance contact for any site projects. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for the following:

Accountabilities

  • Financial performance of the plant

  • Month end cost reviews with senior management

  • Act as strategic partner to plant leadership and provide insightful analysis to improve plant performance to meet product cost commitments

  • Annual business plans (budgets) and quarterly forecasts

  • Product cost accounting and analysis, ensuring accurate standard costs are implemented and maintained on existing and new SKU’s, working with supply chain team to

  • Create & revise bills of materials

  • Create and revise labor and overhead routings

  • Perform cost runs, check for accuracy, and release costs for use.

  • Annual re-costing of all product

  • Internal and external audit controls

  • Control of the cycle count process for all materials on site

  • Implement initiatives required by Global Operations Leadership and Global Finance & Controllership teams

  • Balance sheet reviews

  • Evaluation and sign off for plant capital expenditure

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)

  • FMCG / Manufacturing experience

  • Proficient use of Microsoft packages

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically SAP would be advantageous

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial information to others from non-financial backgrounds

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships at all levels of the organisation

  • Ability to identify opportunities and implement process improvements

  • High level of commitment, positive attitude, flexible and proactive

  • Self-motivated and takes ownership of tasks and ability to drive results

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Managerial experience is preferred but not required

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Direct supervisory accountability

  • This role will report to the Senior Manager, EMEA GPS F&C. The Plant Controller will work with all levels of exempt and non-exempt colleagues including the Plant Manager, Operations Managers, Supervisors and Hourly colleagues, ISC Finance IT, Supply Chain, Procurement both locally and globally.

  • Work Environment: Production manufacturing facility.
