This position is based at our Rayovac site located in Washington, Tyne & Wear, UK.
In this role, you'll be responsible for developing and executing marketing programs that increase brand identity and brand awareness of the Rayovac hearing aid battery business. You will report into the European Marketing Manager and will be responsible for delivering, branded programmes, promotions and assets to ensure brand consistency.
•Act as the brand guardian and champion within the business
•Support the European Marketing Manager to develop strategic marketing plans for the Rayovac brand
•Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies
•Execute marketing activities and promotions to establish, maintain and grow brand presence in the market
•Develop compelling product launch and brand campaign sell ins
•Assisting in evaluating brand performance / sales using internal reporting tools - work with Finance to analyse sales, profit and expenses
•Manage all brand guidelines documentation
•Close communication with the regional Trade Marketing teams to roll out plans and activities
•Responsible for the planning and execution of the media plan, covering advertising and PR
•Working closely with the in-house digital team and external agencies to ensure integrated campaigns are planned, developed and results analysed
•Work with the digital team on online and website programmes
•Guide development strategies for all consumer touch points including packaging, collateral, selling tools and web programs
•Lead within marketing and with other key departments (e.g., engineering, sourcing, supply chain, legal, creative services, market research) to develop and launch innovations based on consumer needs and market opportunities/ trends
•Research and determine product weaknesses and areas to be modified
•Writing and presenting reports and presentations to senior management
•Brief and work with key suppliers across brand, design, PR, POS and the in-house design
Required Skills and Experience
•Strong communication skills – oral, written and presentation
•Self-motivator who can multi-task oriented and able to prioritise
•Team player, who is able to work in a matrix organisation
•Numerical and analytical capabilities
•Able to contribute ideas and look at creative solutions
•Be open and honest with a professional judgement and high degree of personal integrity
•University degree or equivalent Professional Qualification in marketing or other business related discipline
•Minimum 3 years of all-round marketing experience
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Relevant experience in international, modern companies preferred
•Experience of working with agencies and suppliers
•Project management experience
