Position Summary
As part of the Alkaline Battery R&D team, you will support the development of new products in the alkaline battery category. You will work closely with scientists to plan and execute experiments and program steps to deliver a pipeline of innovations and cost savings to support Energizer’s global alkaline battery portfolio.
Responsibilities
Plan and executes routine and non-routine experiments and tasks
Create reports that summarize data and analyzes for exceptions
Perform manual tasks and operates machines which include the mixing and handling of chemicals requiring PPE
Collect, records, and transcribes routine and non-routine data
Perform routine and non-routine calculations; creates routine and non-routine tables, charts and graphs
Create data reports that include conclusions
Use appropriate materials and equipment and understands their principles of use or operation
Understand basic principles of energy systems and/or devices in assigned area
Identify and implement continuous improvement measures
Practice proper safety procedures and reports unsafe acts or conditions
May also perform additional duties as assigned
What we are looking for
Minimum 1 year of general science or engineering college coursework or equivalent experience/education
Solid fundamental understanding of higher level mathematics, mechanics, general science, and general computer applications including Microsoft office products
Able to perform repetitive manual tasks requiring hands, stand for extended periods of time, and lift 35 lbs
Work schedule that may occasionally vary from typical business hours
Expected to work with chemicals and may require the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Working in a technical laboratory setting with occasional travel and work in an industrial manufacturing setting
What we prefer
Associates degree or higher in physical sciences (example: chemistry, physics) or engineering
Minimum 2 years of demonstrated related experience in a technical laboratory, industrial manufacturing, or similar environment
