Position Summary

Responsibility for testing and audit coordination and data entry for product regulatory and safety aspects of the battery, flashlights, charger and bulb businesses.


  • Article information and specification sheet development

  • Audit coordination with production facilities (social, performance and environmental)

  • Device characterization coordination and summary

  • Environmental testing coordination (heavy metals, life cycle assessment, solvents, etc)

  • Reviewing product and packaging safety and regulatory marking against checklist

  • Maintain technical and safety documents in an online database both internal and external

Specific Accountabilities

  • Audit coordinator for social, performance and environmental audits around the world.

  • Maintain product database and dangerous goods status in SAP and retailer online systems.

  • Oversight over regulatory needs for bulbs in global markets.

  • Coordinate environmental and waste testing with internal and external analytical support

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in a technical field

  • 1+ years of experience in a regulatory, quality or environmental sciences area

  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Excellent communication both verbal and written

  • Able to balance multiple projects at one time

  • Ability to apply general guidance to varied situations

  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with retailer online databases

  • Dangerous Goods Transport Certified

Working Relationships & Environment

  • Reports to Manager of Regulatory Affairs

  • Key relationships internally will include Regulatory Affairs, Research and Development and Legal

  • External engagement with 3 rd party testing labs and some government audit entities.

Work Environment

  • Possible travel 1-2 times per year
